Afflilation Rules

Junior and Younger Age Categories

Regular Season

  • Skaters must come from a lower age group (example: if playing U15 you must use U13 or younger as affiliates). Also, by adding the affiliated skater, your roster number may not exceed the number of registered skaters you have on your team (example: if you have 8 registered skaters on your team, someone must be missing in order to affiliate a skater, and if one person was missing you can only affiliate one player to fill that empty position).
  • Goalies must come from the same tier in the same age groups, lower tier in the same age groups, or lower age group (example: if playing U18 White, you can use any other goalie in U18 White, Blue, Green or a goalie from U15 Red, White, Blue or Green).

Playoffs

  • Same rules apply as Regular Season, except you must have permission from your Category Director prior to using the player. If you don't have permission from the Category Director to use the player and you go ahead and use that player, your team will default the game and the coach will face disciplinary action.

ADULT AGE

Regular Season:

  • Skaters must come from a lower division or age group (example: if playing in Division 2, you must use a skater from Division 3 or lower OR you can bring up a skater from Junior or U18 for that game.
  • Also by adding the affiliated skater, your roster number may not exceed the number of registered skaters you have on your team (example: if you have 8 registered skaters on your team, someone must be missing in order to affiliate a skater, and if one person was missing you can only affiliate one player).
  • Goalies must come from the same division in adult, lower division in adult or from a lower age group (example: if playing Division 3, you can use a goalie from Division 3, 4 or 5 OR Junior OR U18).

Playoffs:

  • Each team will submit a roster of up to 20 players. Goalies must be identified. Rosters are submitted by June 1st to the category director and there will be no changes made to the roster after this date. If a roster is not submitted then the game sheet prior to June 1st will be the roster for playoffs. All players on the roster must be registered with Edmonton Inline. All players must have played a minimum 8 games in Edmonton Inline League games (at discretion of the director due to out of town work etc.). All players registered and or playing in an association or league other than Edmonton Inline are required to play a minimum of  8 league games in EI. All players registered and / or playing in an association other than Edmonton Inline will be designated at Adult Division 1 or Junior Red Division players
